Dougie Souness

Born in Glasgow “sometime during the latter half of the sixties”, Dougie’s first job was within the city’s traditional shipbuilding industry, completing his apprenticeship there by day whilst playing drums in bands by night. Dougie’s (very) short career as a professional musician came to an end in 1987 when he entered the music business as tour manager with the “up and coming” local band ‘Wet Wet Wet’. He quickly established himself as a full time member of their management team, a role he continues to fulfill over twenty four years later.

Dougie now owns and runs the music company ‘No Half Measures’ who, in addition to the Wets, are currently working with Hue and Cry, The Law, GoGoBot, The River 68’s, and Patricia Vonne amongst others. He is vice chairman of the fund raising committee for the charity Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland. A keen photographer, Dougie has been known to jet off to some far flung corner of the globe in pursuit of scuba diving nirvana; “worships” The Who; still plays the drums & still thinks he can play football – or maybe that should be the other way about!

Fiona Menzies

Originally hailing from the East coast of Scotland – Carnoustie to be precise where one of the oldest and most revered Golf clubs in the world can be found, Fiona kicked off her entertainment business career at the then Dundee based promoters DF (Dance Factory) Concerts, quickly progressing to the position of office manager. New challenges beckoned, amongst them a lengthy position as Editor of Scottish brewer’s Tennents popular music magazine ’Tennents Live’ and a music business administration role at Wet Wet Wet touring & merchandising company Wet T.M. Ltd. where she would meet her now colleague Dougie Souness.

Fiona moved on to join the television and film production company, Ideal World (now the media company IWC), however she rejoined Dougie at No Half Measures and the Measured Group in 2001, developing into the role of general manager, with an oversight on all of the companies business, logistic and financial activities.

Fiona easily commands respect amongst her colleagues and associates, or maybe it would be suffice to simply say that she’s the person here you ’don’t want to cross’!

Louise Henderson

Born in 1987, coincidentally the same year that Wet Wet Wet had their first hit single, Louise has always had a keen interest in all things musical. She learned piano at an early age, and is an avid guitar (Hero III) player. She studied Commercial Music at university and joined No Half Measures after working within the press office at the Beggars group in London, and several freelance projects spanning from designing and editing a fanzine to forming a management and promotions company.

Louise is the youngest member of the team and is the new media expert specialising in everything online, moonlighting often as the resident graphic design artist.She is a keen photographer, and has built up a good portfolio of shots which have been published in several magazines, CD booklets, tour programmes and websites.

Lisa MacDonald

Born in Liverpool, Lisa grew up within a house of Motown and spent most of her free time trying to steal her father’s records. Moving to Jamaica at the age 7 established a life long love of Reggae and Jerk Chicken. On her return to the British Isles in 1991 Lisa was traumatized to discover that Britain had been taken over by Stock, Atiken and Waterman and went into a shock for the next few years.

1998 brought Lisa to Glasgow, Scotland to study for an MA in Sociology at the University of Glasgow. University lifestyle required part time work, which after completing University turned into full time at Cottiers Bar and Theatre, progressing to the roles of Assistant Manager and Events Coordinator. Discovering her love of Events Management, Lisa decided to return to University once again to complete a Post Graduate course in Public Relations. On finishing her course Lisa worked for IBM, however her love of music beckoned again and Lisa found herself at the doors of No Half Measures, to work along side the team in the Product Management, Marketing and Promotion department.

Caroline Sewell

Born in Glasgow in 1982, Caroline grew up in a family of great music and great music lovers. She has always had a love of singing and soon discovered a natural playing ability when she received her first Casio keyboard when she was 7, going on to play piano and guitar.

After studying Music Industry Management at Stow College she went on to complete the BA Hons degree in Commercial Music at Paisley University in 2006. During this time, Caroline was involved in many independent projects which ranged from co-promoting successful resident nights at the Sub Club to organising a mini-festival and implementing a program for young musicians to learn how to organise their own gigs. After stints working and event managing for some Scottish recording studios, she feels that by working with No Half Measures, she finally has an opportunity to utilise the range of skills she has attained over the years in one fell swoop!

Frank Gallagher

Frank is an integral part of the logistics team at No Half Measures, and has worked with the majority of the roster. Currently focusing his energies on The Law, Frank brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the live arena to all aspects of the varied and constant touring schedules of No Half Measures artists.
